What We Do
We believe the Bible is like the food that nourishes us. We believe it helps us see truthfully who God is and who we are. We study the Bible one-on-one, in groups, and through listening to Sunday sermons. We study the Bible inductively, historically, and metaphorically in an attempt to learn who God is, who we are, and what it means to live in relationship with him.
We believe prayer is like the air that sustains us. We pray individually, with each other, during meetings and at home when we’re by ourselves. We pray to listen to God, to find his will for our lives, as well as to ask his help for ourselves and for others.
We believe that God is the only one worth worshiping. We try to live daily lives of worship, in everything we do. We express our lives of worship when we’re together through music—praising God by singing and listening to music in meditation and reverence for God.
We believe that our love for each other is the continued expression of God’s love for us. We try to be friends with each other—both when it’s easy and when it's difficult. We spent time out together, watch movies, study, eat, laugh, cry, listen to and pray for each other.
We believe that God's love compels us to share his love with others. We believe this manifests in serving the less fortunate, in giving. We believe in sharing the Gospel using the Bible, our own words, without words, in living out lives of love and imitating Jesus wherever we are. We're specifically called as a ministry to reach out in love to college students and share with them Jesus and the Gospel.
